A friend has told me that there is a new scheme called the Pay Gap Scheme and it is to tackle inequalities at work. Does anyone know anything about this?

Pay Gap is a voluntary reporting scheme launched by the Home Secretary to encourage organisations to 'think, act and report', it is a drive to promote sex equality at work.
Top eployers have backed the scheme, it is voluntary and it involves reporting on controversial areas such as the numbers of female board members and progress on equalising the gender pay gap.
The Home Office are planning to survey employers with more than 150 staff over the next year to gauge the number of organisations involved in gender equality reporting; the findings will be revealed in September 2012.
